A dark cloud has cast itself over the major and minor ninja countries of the world. This dark cloud, has taken the form of a figure, one with nine eyes, huge, overbearing teeth, and ten fingers curled slightly inwards, facing upwards. This cloud was a natural phenomenon called Akatsuki...this shadow, was the nightmare of all children and people alive...especially the ones called the jinchuuriki.
For many years, the Akatsuki have ruled in the shadows, attacking like a small fighting force of 10 and striking here and there. Their existence was known by many, but few had actually see the legendary red and black cloaked members. And sure, many shinobi and people of the villages would say that the Akatsuki were a force to be reckoned with, but still, many people would not consider the fact that the Akatsuki were more powerful then anyone would ever imagine. And then one day...their beautiful world was turned upside down.
With one swift and powerful thrust, the Akatsuki was able to take over the control of most of the ninja countries. It would seem to have happened overnight and with one swift wave of a hand, many Akatsuki members took their place in office as being the Kage's, Lords, and Ladies of the majority of the ninja villages. The concept of democracy, or any form of different government village by village was a lost concept in the wind. Control was decided, and dictated by the respected dictator.
No one really knows why the Akatsuki took over. Many people assumed it was because of their original goal; to capure and destroy all Bijuus. But they could have done this with a more shadowy veil if they had stayed in the shadows. But no...they most certainly had another idea up their sleeve; just...no one could figure it out.
As the Akatsuki kept their control over the many lands, a revolt slowly began to form. By whom you may ask? The original targets of the Akatsuki; the jinchuuriki. The revolt was intended to be swift and easy. Go in, and kill the Akatsuki members in each village. Simple and sweet...a quick and easy ninja war.
But it seemed the Akatsuki were one step ahead. One by one, week by week, a jinchuuriki began to disappear. With each disappearance the resistance force was weakened, but not destroyed. They came back and continued to plan their resistance. But little did they know, by being so...hard headed they were falling right into the plot of the Akatsuki.
Within a year, four of the nine bijuu had been caught and finally, just finally, the countries realized the real goal of the Akatsuki. Never had they stopped their goal of collecting all nine bijuu, they simply expanded. By taking out the bijuu they would be able to secure domination of the world with there being no hope of a rebellion. And to add to their perfect world domination, they would use their collected bijuu as pawns...slaves per say to destroy anyone and everything who stilled believe in the revolution. And the jinchuuriki that they collected were none other then the original leaders of the revolution...such a strange amount of poetic justice...
Around one year has gone by since the final jinchuuriki of the Akatsuki's four set was collected and the people of the land are still trying to a revolution. Whether it be to simply get their freedom back, or because of the strange sensation that the ninja's feel there is no other way to right the wrongs of their past, the people feel that a revolution, another ninja war must be held. With four jinchuuriki and ten very powerful Akatsuki members on the side of the antagonist, the odds seem to be against the whole ninja world. And what about the last five jinchuuriki? What will they do?
This isn't simply another war, this isn't simply a conflict of ideologies and civil rights...this is a situation of unbound glory.
