School Rules

Welcome to Woodland High School. We focus primarily on teaching youngsters the fundamentals before we send them off into the cold world as an adult.

We have a few set rules here at the school.

1. The school is closed campus so you're not allowed to leave for lunch unless you have a signed form from the front office stating that you have a vehicle that can get you back and forth on time.

2. Arrive at school on time. The first class of the day begins at 8:00 so be sure to be here by then or else you'll have to serve that hour in SWEEP.

3. SWEEP is the room you go to when you're tardy or late to class. You're not allowed to talk, listen to music, read or do homework in this room. All you can do is sit there and look around at the others or stare at the floor or wall.

4. Any fights on campus will result in an immediate ten day suspension or ISS {in school suspension}.

5. Smoking or use of tobacco products is not permitted on or around school grounds. This includes all school activities. Consequences for violations include detention, suspension, and referral to smoking cessation classes.

6. In accord with the philosophy that good schools are safe schools the district enforces, without exception, a maximum safety policy. This means that any student who assaults another student, or who carries an instrument construed to be a weapon, or who brings to school a blade of any size, or who provides or sells drugs will be recommended for expulsion.
